Honeywell Wireless Thermostats

Wireless Thermostat

Honeywell’s line of wireless thermostats provides a wide array of options for both residential and light commercial applications. From controlling multiple climate control units, to measuring outdoor temperature and humidity, to performing diagnostic checks on the HVAC system, their wireless, programmable thermostats are more sophisticated than ever.

The Devices

The Prestige® IAQ 2.0 Comfort System is Honeywell’s top of the line wireless thermostat. The Prestige IAQ 2.0 will perform diagnostic checking on your HVAC system and alert you when it is running inefficiently. It can easily be programmed for residential or light commercial settings.  It uses an “interview-based” approach to programming.  It asks you questions and programs itself based on your answers. This baby is beautiful to look at, too.  It has a dazzling, full-color touch screen that is, believe it or not, high-definition!  And of course, because it offers easy-to-setup 7 day programming, it is energy-efficient, too.  Honeywell estimates that you can save as much as $200 per year.  It basically pays for itself.

The Prestige 2.0 Comfort system provides an interactive, question based program for ease in initial set up. It displays outdoor temperature and humidity when appropriate sensors are added, and can provide service reminders for the user. Like the Prestige IAQ, it comes with a USB port installed for ease in initial programming. Both Prestige systems monitor temperature and humidity systems separately, allowing for independent adjustments.

The Econnect Comfort Control System is an innovative method of controlling electric baseboard heat and convection heaters. The system is a 2 device design, with an Electric Interface Module to connect with the electric heating device. Now, electronic knob controls at the device can be dispensed with, and the electric heater can be controlled through the central thermostat. Multiple heating devices can be connected, providing for zone based comfort control.

Honeywell’s popular FocusPro thermostat is now wireless. There is no longer a need to rewire anything when upgrading HVAC equipment, and the thermostat can be placed anywhere in the home. A return air sensor is available. It can control up to 3 heating and 2 cooling applications for zone climate control.

wireless thermostatRedlink Internet Access

Each of the wireless thermostats works with Honeywell’s Redlink Comfort system. The Redlink connects your HVAC system to the internet, allowing the user remote access to heating and cooling systems. Systems can be monitored and settings can be changed from anywhere with use of a PC, laptop, or smart phone.

Wherever the user has internet access, they can adjust their HVAC system settings. The user can obtain free apps for Iphone, Ipad and Ipod devices. The system can even send an email alert if the heating or cooling system exceeds programmed limits.

Portable Comfort Control

Each of the wireless systems also comes with a Portable Comfort Control. The PCC is a handheld remote that allows the user to change settings from anywhere in the home or building. It provides on remote temperature sensing, to allow in room zone control adjusting. Each also provides an outdoor air sensor, measuring outdoor air temperature and humidity levels.
